Our previous architectural work has been quite varied during the course of our careers. We have been involved in developing a number of very interesting building projects, with some local architectural practices.  This has given us over 50 years of experience & has lead us to become quite knowledgeable in the field of architecture. Our Previous Architectural Work Experience

Whilst working with these companies, we have:

  • liaised with clients to ascertain their needs;
  • developed sketch designs & altered them to suit the clients’ wishes;
  • also carried out measured linear & levelling surveys, which we transferred onto AutoCAD;
  • developed house types & flat layouts for housing schemes;
  • created plans & elevations for planning applications & changed them to suit planning conditions, where possible, to gain planning permissions;
  • progressed drawings to ensure they complied with current building regulations & answered queries from building control;
  • prepared drawings & specifications for the tendering process;
  • produced detailed working drawings so the projects could be built efficiently on site to the highest standard;
  • liaised with clients, planning consultants, building control & the design team & also engineers & contractors so as to ensure the projects ran smoothly to design, time & budget.

  • New Global Education Centre, Coatbridge, with McLaren, Murdoch & Hamilton Architects
  •  BMI Fernbrae Hospital operating theatre upgrade, with McLaren, Murdoch & Hamilton Architects
  •  Ninewells Hospital maternity unit upgrade, with McLaren, Murdoch & Hamilton Architects
